Treating postpartum depression or other mood disorders takes an integrative approach. This can mean taking multiple steps to heal, rather than a “quick fix”. This can include a combination of counseling, support groups, leaning on support systems, medications, diet and exercise modifications, time for self-care, acupuncture, meditation/mindfulness, etc. This is individualized, and no two recoveries will look the same. This is why it is important to connect with your provider right away so you can develop a plan that will work best for you!
